OxygenOS is one of the most popular custom UI available. It is responsible for the popularity OnePlus has gathered to date. Over the years, OnePlus has relied heavily on user-based request which helped them improve their customized android interface. Throughout major OxygenOS updates, the OxygenOS 11 Open Beta also included a new live wallpaper this time too.
Though in beta, the OxygenOS 11 Open Beta 1 is now available for the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro bringing a stable Android 11 experience for the latest OnePlus flagship owners. However, OnePlus had been getting some polarizing opinions. Based on the fact that OxygenOS 11 somehow resembles the OneUI by Samsung.

The live wallpaper has been ported from the OxygenOS Open Beta 1 build for the OnePlus 8 and features some interesting effects. The live image is clearly noticeable as it moved while swiping the home tabs on the left side in the video below. Other than that, the wallpaper’s colours keep changing based on the time of day.
OxygenOS 11 Live Wallpaper applied on Redmi K20 Pro
However, the live wallpaper is not meant to work on every device. We tested the OxygenOS 11 live wallpaper port on the Redmi K20 Pro, and it worked smoothly on the home screen. The hiccup lied when we tried to apply it on its lock screen, courtesy of MIUI’s one too many features. The live wallpaper should work on all devices running Android 8.0 Oreo or above.
Steps to install the live wallpaper and apply it:
- Install Google Wallpaper app from the Play Store and install it.
- Download the OxygenOS 11 live wallpaper here and install the apk.
- Now open the Wallpaper app, scroll down and locate the live wallpaper option.
- Find the Live Wallpaper and apply it.
- It will ask you to choose between Home or Both Home and Lockscreen.
- Choose as per your desire, apply it.
