In April this year, TCL released the TCL 10 Pro, the TCL 10 5G, and the 10L smartphones. According to TCL official news, on May 19, the 10 Pro and 10L will be officially launched in the United States. The retail price of the TCL 10 Pro is $450, while the price of the 10L is $250.
The two smartphones will initially be sold through Amazon. And later, several operators such as BestBuy and Wal-Mart will sell them as well.
Under the hood, the TCL 10 Pro sports a processor of the Snapdragon 675, which is slightly worse than the 10 5G’ processor. But the other specifications are slightly better. It comes with a 6.47-inch curved OLED display (2340 x 1080 pixels), which supports in-display fingerprint recognition. The camera settings are slightly different. There is a 64-megapixel main camera sensor, a dedicated low-light sensor, a macro lens, and an ultra-wide-angle lens. In other aspects, the machine has a 4,500mAh battery, 6GB RAM, 128GB storage space and a headphone jack.
The TCL 10L is actually a cheap version of the 10 Pro. It uses a 6.53-inch LCD display (2340 x 1080 resolution). There is a Snapdragon 665 processor, a 4,000mAh battery, a fingerprint sensor on the back, a 6GB of RAM, and a 64GB or 128GB of storage. In terms of photography, the rear quad-camera system includes a 48-megapixel main sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, a 2-megapixel macro, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor, and also, there is a 3.5 mm headphone jack.
Many may be unfamiliar with this brand, but it was one of the pioneers launching the first folding-screen smartphone. This simply means the company has a huge potential. But we don’t think it has serious intentions in the smartphone industry.
