Ater receiving the award, Berners-Lee said that he is very grateful to honored with a computing award. He is very honored to get a title of computing pioneer. The programmers play an essential role in making a computer. He said this to MIT where he holds a Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL) position. He has also developed the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) and the World Wide Web Foundation situated at the ACM’s annual banquet in San Francisco. These foundations were established on June 24.
