After appearing with under-display camera technology, here’s another innovative upgrade from Visinox for smartphones. The company launched Surround Screen 2.0 with improved capabilities than the maiden version which appeared on Mi MiX Alpha in 2019. It improves structure, enhances display stability and further increases mass production.

In technical terms, there’s a working sample which supports 360° foldable panel with a 7.92-inch flexible AMOLED display carrying capability to fold inwards and outwards. Thanks to several hinges, steel sheet under the display for improving the build of the overall display.
The new display design also enhances the display production capacity.
It is much better than the first version of the Surround Screen, and we expect it to surface soon on foldable devices. We expect it to debut with the new Mi Mix 4 or other Alpha series device. It can allow a screen-to-body ratio of more than 180%.
It is another healthy innovation which will improve the quality of foldable devices in the future. We expect similar innovations to speed up the foldable device’s manufacturing.
