Vivo has officially launched its much-hyped Vivo X60 5G flagship series in India. Many of us were wondering if the Chinese giant will bring all three smartphones i.e. the Vivo X60 5G, Vivo X60 Pro 5G, and Vivo X60 Pro+ 5G to the subcontinent. Surprisingly they did, but with a very interesting tweak. If you remember, the Vivo X60 5G and the Vivo X60 Pro 5G that was launched in China came with Exynos Chipsets. The ones launched in India comes with the new flagship SD888 and SD870 chipsets.

Vivo X60 Pro+ 5G: Specifications

At its core, the Vivo X60 Pro+ 5G is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC. It is paired with up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB UFS 3.1 internal storage.  The device runs on Funtouch OS 11.1 which is based on Android 11. It measures 158.59×73.35×9.10mm and weighs 191g.

Moving towards the front, the device flaunts an LTM 6.56″ FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate panel. It a 3D Curved Ultra O Screen and comes with HDR10+ certification. Like most Full HD+ devices, the device supports 2376 x 1080 resolution as well.

Vivo’s X series has set the standard high when it comes to optics. With the new Vivo X60 Pro+, they aim to achieve the same. The device houses a 48MP Sony IMX589 Ultra-Wide Gimbal Camera with f/2.2 aperture, a 50MP Ultra-Sensing GN1 sensor that supports OIS along with f/1.57 aperture, a 32MP 2x telephoto shooter for portraits with f/2.08 aperture and an 8MP camera with a 5x periscope lens supporting f/3.4 aperture. Whereas at the front, the device houses a 32MP camera for selfies.

The device draws its power from a 4200mAh battery which supports 55W FlashCharge. But misses out on wireless charging.

In addition, the device supports dual-SIM, 5G, dual-band WiFi (WiFi 6 on Pro+), Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, GNSS (GPS, BeiDou, GLONASS, GALILEO, QZSS, NAVIC), and USB Type-C. The company has also included important sensors such as an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, compass, colour spectrum sensor, gyroscope, and proximity sensor. However, like most of the flagships, this too misses out on a 3.5MM headphone jack.

Vivo X60 5G and Vivo X60 Pro 5G: Specifications

At their core, the Vivo X60 5G and the Vivo X60 Pro 5G are powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC. The Vivo X60 5G is paired with 8GB/12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB/256GB UFS 3.1 internal storage. Whereas the Vivo X60 Pro 5G is only paired with 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 internal storage. Both of them runs on Funtouch OS 11.1 which is based on Android 11. The Vivo X60 5G measures  159.63mm×75.01mm×7.36mm and weighs 177g. Whereas, the Vivo X60 Pro 5G measures 158.58mm×73.24mm×7.59mm and weighs 177g.

For optics, both of them comes with a triple camera set up at the back. It has a 48MP Sony IMX589 sensor with f/1.79 aperture, a 13MP Ultra-wide camera with f/2.2 aperture and a 13MP Pro Portrait lens with f/2.46 aperture. But the Vivo X60 Pro 5G has a larger F/1.48 aperture along with Gimbal Stabilization 2.0.  Whereas at the front, both of them flaunts a 32MP camera for selfies.
The Vivo X60 5G draws its power from a 4300mAh battery which supports 33W FlashCharge. Whereas, The Vivo X60 Pro 5G draws its power from a smaller 4200mAh battery which supports 33W FlashCharge. Just like the Vivo X60 Pro+ 5G, these too miss out on wireless charging.
In addition, both of them supports dual-SIM, 5G, dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC, GNSS (GPS, BeiDou, GLONASS, GALILEO, QZSS, NAVIC), and USB Type-C. The company has also included important sensors such as an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, compass, colour spectrum sensor, gyroscope, and proximity sensor. However, like the Vivo X60 Pro+ 5G, these too miss out on a 3.5MM headphone jack as well.

Pricing and availability

The Vivo X60 5G and the Vivo X60 Pro 5G is available in two colour variants – Midnight Black and Shimmer Blue. Whereas the Vivo X60 Pro+ 5G is available in the Vegan Leather Emperor Blue colour option.

As for the pricing, the Vivo X60 5G costs ₹37,990 for its 8GB + 128GB variants and ₹41,990 for its 12GB + 256GB variant.

On the other hand, the Vivo X60 Pro 5G costs ₹49,990 for its lone 12GB + 256GB variant. While the Vivo X60 Pro+ 5G costs ₹69,990 for its lone 12GB + 256GB variant.
The smartphones will be sold officially from April 2 onwards, however interested person can pre-book the smartphones from today onwards.
