Vivo has launched yet another X60 Series smartphone i.e. the Vivo X60t in China. If you recall, the X60 Series that was launched in China is different from the one that was recently launched in global markets. One of its key difference was the inclusion of the Snapdragon 888 chipset. That said, the recently launched Vivo X60t comes with the MediaTek Dimensity 1100 SoC. The chipset is one of the top tier chipsets from MediaTek. The device retains a similar display but some changes have been done with its cameras. However, the Vivo X60t is specifically meant for offline retail stores in China.
Vivo X60t: Specifications
At its core, the Vivo X60t is powered by the 6nm based MediaTek Dimensity 1100 SoC which has four Cortex-A78 cores clocked at up to 2.6GHz. It is a 5G capable chipset. This chipset is comparable to the Snapdragon 865 processor at best which makes it comparable to the recently launched Samsung S20FE 5G. It is paired with 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB UFS 3.1 storage. But misses out on the MicroSD card slot. Since the device is specific to the Chinese market, it boots OriginOS out of the box instead of FuntouchOS 11. However, it is still based on Android 11 OS.
Moving towards the front, the device flaunts an LTM 6.56″ FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate panel. It a 3D Curved Ultra O Screen and comes with HDR10+ certification. Like most Full HD+ devices, the device supports 2376 x 1080 resolution as well. A similar display was found on the recently launched Vivo X7 series.
For optics, the device has a triple camera setup at the rear with Zeiss optics lenses. The setup includes a 48MP Sony IMX598 primary sensor with f/1.48 aperture and 4-axis OIS anti-shake, a 13MP sensor with a 120˚ ultra-wide-angle lens and a 13MP sensor with a 2x telephoto lens. Whereas at the front, the device comes with a 32MP selfies shooter.
The device draws its power from a 4,220mAh battery which supports 33W fast charging. But due to the smaller capacity of the battery, the device weighs only 175g and measures 159.63 x 75.01 x 7.4mm in dimension.
In addition, the device includes connectivity options such as an In-display fingerprint scanner, dual 5G SIM support, 5G, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, and GNSS (BeiDou, GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, QZSS). But like most flagships, it too misses out on the 3.5MM headphone jack. That said, the device also comes with important sensors such as an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, compass, proximity sensor, gyroscope, and colour temperature sensor.
Pricing and Availability
The Vivo X60t comes in Shimmer Blue and Midnight Black colours. Unlike the rest of the Vivo X60 Series, the Vivo X60t will be exclusively sold through offline channels in China. The Vivo X60t costs ¥3,498 ($533) for its lone 8GB+128GB storage variant which is similar to the Exynos version. However, the company hasn’t clarified if the device will make its way to the global markets.
