Chinese smartphone giant Vivo is gradually making its name known in the smartphone market. The company is also planning to expand its product range in various other categories beyond smartphones as well. Recently, the company has launched the Vivo Y51 (2020) in Pakistan featuring some exciting mid-range specifications. However, this isn’t a new device after all as they launched the Vivo S1 Prime in Myanmar back in August. Both of them shares the same specification with negligible difference whatsoever.
Vivo Y51 (2020): Specification
Vivo Y51 (2020) is powered with Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 chipset coupled with an octa-core processor and Adreno 610 GPU. The device runs on Funtouch OS 10 which is based on Android 10. It is available in 4GB RAM and 128 GB internal storage variant. The memory can be expanded via MicroSD card slot that allows users to add up to 256GB of storage.
The main highlight of this device is its display as it houses a compact 6.38-inch AMOLED panel along with a waterdrop notch and Full HD+ resolution. The display sports 19.5:9 aspect ratio of the broader viewing experience. Due to its AMOLED panel, it gets the in-display fingerprint scanner as well as the Always-on Display.
Talking about its camera, the smartphone houses a quad-camera setup at the back featuring a 48MP camera, an 8MP ultrawide sensor, a 2MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. The camera is capable enough to capture detailed photos even in the low-light environment. Vivo has also included some software-based camera-centric features to use the camera in a better way. As for the selfie part, it houses a 16-megapixel selfie camera sensor with f/2.0 aperture on the front.
Moreover, the device draws its power from a 4500mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging. As for connectivity, it supports Bluetooth 5.0, 4G LTE, dual-SIM, GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone slot as well.
Pricing and availability
The new Vivo Y51 (2020) comes in Mystic Black, Jazzy Blue, and Dreamy White colours. It’s priced at PKR 36,999 which is roughly Rs 16,500 and is up for pre-orders in Pakistan till September 18.
To summarize, we can notice that the only difference between Vivo S1 Prime and Vivo Y51 (2020) is their colour variants. It’s impossible that both of them will clash at the same time since it is launched in different markets.
