Chinese smartphone maker, Vivo has a new product set to hit the market. The Vivo Y70s 5G may be the very first Smartphone to use the upcoming Samsung Exynos 880 5G chipset in the world. The announcement was officially confirmed on Vivo’s official Weibo page.
The official teaser for the device was posted by the company revealing the key specifications of the device. Earlier last week, a Vivo phone was leaked on Geekbench with the model number Vivo V2002A. This was the Vivo Y70s.

According to the teaser, The phone will be equipped with side fingerprint unlocking, HD LCD panel 6.3 inches screen, triple rear camera system, 48 million pixels for the main camera and an LED flash. The Vivo Y70s will also be available in blue and pink gradient colours.
From all indications, the Vivo Y70s will be powered by Samsung’s Exynos 880 processor, a chipset that hasn’t been officially announced by Samsung yet. The Exynos 880 seems to be similar to the Exynos 980 SoC, however, it is an underclocked version. It features six ARM Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 1.8GHz, and two ARM Cortex-A77 cores clocked at 2GHz, and six ARM Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 1.8GHz.
The Exynos 980 first appeared on the Vivo X30 series in December 2019, and later Vivo X50. However, the Exynos 880 SoC has a CPU test score of 641 points in Single-core and 1,814 points in multi-core CPU tests. The Exynos 880 uses the ARM Mali-G76 GPU for graphics. The phone also supports 5G networks with a battery capacity of 4500mAh. It may also be equipped with an 18W fast charger and 8GB of RAM and 128GB storage.
The date of the launch is yet to be confirmed and we are currently unaware of the specific selling price of Vivo Y70s. However, we anticipate that very soon, Vivo will reveal additional details about the phone to the general public.
