Nowadays, WhatsApp is most popular among all and especially the teenagers. Whatsapp is an instant messaging app. More than 1 billion people in above 180 states use WhatsApp to communicate with friends and family, any moment from everywhere. WhatsApp Messenger is available for iPhone, BlackBerry, Android, Windows Phone and Nokia but this is a bad news for all Whatsapp users.

In this upcoming year 2017, your Whatsapp will not work. According to The Minor, a news report, WhatsApp will not be available for millions of smartphones. It will only work when you will upgrade it.

According to The Minor, “because of the older version one billion users were able to download WhatsApp but the users who were using older phones were having technical problems in downloading the WhatsApp”. Only because of the technology upgrade the users have to upgrade your WhatsApp.

A representative of WhatsApp in a blog post said mobile phones have become a part of our everyday life but the older phones don’t support the version of WhatsApp. This is the reason for the discontinuation of 2016 WhatsApp. They have to concentrate on the devices which are used by most of the peoples.

This news was declared by the company in the celebration of their 7th anniversary. Some users who will have to upgrade their WhatsApp are Android 2.1, Android 2.2, Windows Phone 7, iPhone 3GS, iOS 6, the blackberry phones including the Bold, Curve, Pearl and Touch and phones with old Nokia S40 software like Asha, X2, X3, C2 etc.

Other users of iPhone 4, 4S, or 5 who have not upgraded their phones to iOS 10 will also have to upgrade WhatsApp. Whatsapp is working in BlackBerry OS, BlackBerry 10, Nokia S40 and Nokia Symbian S60 and it will soon be upgraded on June 30, 2017.
