Since the past decade, transparent displays or TVs are part of most Sci-Fi Fiction movies. For the first time, those fictional items have been made available for the commercial users as Xiaomi has launched Xiaomi 55-inch Mi TV LUX OLED transparent TV. Alongside the launch of Redmi K30 Ultra and Mi 10 Ultra to commemorate Xiaomi’s 10th-anniversary celebrations, the company also launched the first mass-produced transparent TV.

Xiaomi Transparent TV features a 55-inch HD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. It supports up to 120Hz refresh rate and 120Hz MEMC chip for a smooth and lag-free experience. Other technical features include a 150000:1 static contrast ratio, infinite dynamic contrast ratio, and rich blacks. The 10-bit FHD panel supports 93% of DCI-P3 color gamut.

Xiaomi’s new Sci-Fi Transparent TV is powered with MediaTek 9650 chipset, 3GB RAM, 32GB storage and runs MIUI for TV 3.0. The features like AOD, Dolby Atmos, and the presence of all I/O ports further enhances the experience. There are two 8W speakers housed within the round base.

There are around 20 different presets to bring the full experience of different media content with a simple selection.

Xiaomi Transparent TV is available for the price of $7,195 in China. IT will start retailing from August 16.
