Earlier this year, Xiaomi held a launch event to unveil the Redmi K50 Gaming smartphone. Now, Xiaomi had organized another product launch event yesterday where they announced a couple of smartphones in the Redmi K50 Series. The newly launched devices include the Xiaomi Redmi K50 Pro and Redmi K50. The pricing of the Pro devices starts from 2999 Yuan, while the standard Redmi K50 starts at 2399 Yuan.
Redmi K50 Pro!
The new device, i.e. the Redmi K50 Pro, features a Samsung 2K flexible straight screen with a resolution of 3200 × 1440, i.e. QHD+. It has a 2.64mm ultra-narrow chin, a professional color quasi-primary color screen and an ambient color temperature sensing tech. The display also supports Dolby Vision HDR mode. It gets protected by the latest Gorilla Glass Victus. It has a punch hole to the centre for the selfie camera unit. The display supports a 120Hz refresh rate and 480Hz touch sampling rate.
Underneath the new Redmi K50 Pro, it sports the latest Dimensity 9000 flagship processor. It also gets a 3950mm² ample VC liquid cooling and a 7-layer graphite blessing. The “Genshin Impact” runs at a stable frame rate of 59fps. The new Dimensity 9000 is built on TSMC’s 4nm process. The chipset is equipped with a new generation of Armv9 architecture and X2 super core, GPU, APU synchronous upgrade. It also gets five self-developed technologies.
In terms of charging, the Redmi K50 Pro comes with the same “Surge P1” charging chip seen in the Xiaomi Mi 12 Pro. The new device packs a large 5000mAh battery that supports 120W fast charging. The brand claims that the device can be charged up to 100% in 19 minutes. The Redmi K50 Pro gets support for Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity, NFC and runs on MIUI 13 out of the box.

The new Redmi K50 Pro will be available in 4 colour options. These are namely green, silver, blue, and black. However, the Black variant features a nano-microcrystalline back design with the sparkling ice-crystal element. It has a thickness of 8.48mm.
The Redmi K50 Pro has a rear 108MP Samsung S5KHM2 primary sensor that supports OIS (Optical image stabilization) when it comes to optics. It has a sensor size of 1/1.52″ and supports fast shooting. The primary sensor is paired with an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2MP macro lens. As said above, the front camera is placed inside the punch hole and gets a 20MP Sony IMX596 sensor.
The Redmi K50 Pro pairs with up to 512GB of storage and is of UFS 3.1 storage. The RAM is of LPDDR5 and gets precise navigation, Dolby stereo dual speakers, X-axis linear motor, multi-function NFC, etc. Xiaomi had already started the pre-sale of the Redmi K50 Pro. The brand had started at 9 p.m. yesterday. The smartphone will be officially available starting from 10:00 a.m. on March 22. The new device will be available in four different variants.
The variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage starts at 2999 Yuan. While the 8GB variant with 256GB starts at 3299 Yuan and 12GB RAM and 256GB storage starts at 3599 Yuan. The top-end variant with 12GB RAM 512GB storage starts at 3999 Yuan.
Redmi K50 Standard Edition!
The standard Redmi K50 comes with the same Samsung 2K straight screen as the Pro as the Redmi K50 Pro. It gets the exact specifications as the Pro and gets protection from Gorilla Glass Victus. The Redmi K50 Standard Edition is the world’s first device to use the Dimensity 8100 processor. It is built using TSMC’s 5nm process. MediaTek has also upgraded the GPU and CPU simultaneously. Like the Redmi K50 Pro, the Standard Edition of K50 comes with the same VC liquid cooling and 7-layer graphite.
The Redmi K50 standard version also comes in four colour options. Like the Pro, it is available in green, silver, blue, and black options. In terms of charging, the Redmi K50 standard version packs in a massive 5500mAh battery. It is higher than Pro, which has a 5000mAh battery but gets support for a lower 67W fast charging tech. Even though there is a difference in battery capacity, it has the same thickness of 8.48mm.
When it comes to optics, the Redmi K50 Standard Edition features a 48MP Sony IMX582 primary sensor to the rear and supports OIS (Optical image stabilization). The primary sensor is paired with an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2MP macro lens. The front camera is a 20MP Sony IMX596 and placed in a punch-hole like the Pro.
The Redmi K50 Standard Edition will be available in three different variants, and the pricing starts at 2399 Yuan for the base variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. At the same time, the middle variant with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage starts at 2599 Yuan. The top-end variant with 12GB RAM and 256GB ROM starts at 2799 Yuan.
