On December 14, the Mi Band 5 was updated to the firmware version 1.0.2.46; at the same time, the Mi Sports app was updated to version 4.8.0.
Xiaomi Mi Band 5’s sleep monitoring technology is one of those features that got a huge upgrade. The accuracy rate is 40% higher than the previous generation. It can professionally interpret sleep characteristics, and provide scientific advice to help improve sleep conditions.
Earlier, some users reported that the Mi Band 5 could not achieve sleep monitoring between 6 am and 11 am during the day and between 18 am and 22 pm, which is not friendly enough for night shifts or overnight parties.
This time, Mi Band 5 finally supports 24-hour sleep monitoring, and we hope that related problems are effectively solved.
The main updates of Mi Band 5:
- Support 24-hour sleep monitoring
- New languages: Indonesian, Greek, Vietnamese, Hebrew
- The NFC version adds 4 transportation cards
There are two versions of the Mi Band 5: the standard version (RMB 189 ($29)) and the NFC version (RMB 229 ($35)). Compared with the Mi Band 4, there are 7 major upgrades in functions, including: an oversized dynamic color screen (increase by 20%), and a magnetic charging, NFC UnionPay QuickPass, remote control camera, brand new sensor upgrade, 11 professional sports modes, brand new female health mode.
The NFC version also supports Xiao Ai’s smart assistant, smart home control, and multi-function NFC.
With this upgrade, we see that the Mi Band 5 was launched long ago, but Xiaomi still continues paying much attention to it.
