In less than 48 Hours, Xiaomi will officially launch the much-hyped Redmi Note 10 Series in India. The Redmi Note 10 series will include three different smartphones much like the Redmi Note 9 Series. The base model will be the traditional Redmi Note 10 followed by the Redmi Note 10 Pro and the top-end Redmi Note 10 Pro Max.
Since the last few weeks, there were several leaks about the upcoming smartphone series. Some of them included the specifications while some showed us a glimpse of the smartphone. Although none of those leaks came from Xiaomi up until today.
Earlier today, Xiaomi India’s Managing Director, Manu Kumar Jain, took to Twitter to announce that the Redmi Note 10 Series will feature an AMOLED panel. This will be the first time that a Redmi Note series will feature an AMOLED display. The tweet states that: “Excited to share that #RedmiNote10 series will feature #SuperAMOLED display – 1st TIME EVER ON a #RedmiNote!”

Xiaomi conducted a Twitter poll earlier this year which asked users to choose between a 60Hz AMOLED display or a 120Hz LCD. Obviously, most of the participants flocked to choose the AMOLED option. But surprisingly, Xiaomi deleted the poll making us think that they wanted the participants to vote for the 120Hz LCD, but the outcome wasn’t the same. Surprisingly, Xiaomi did manage to go with the poll as they will include not just any AMOLED panel, but a Super AMOLED panel. The video also includes tweets where customers demand an AMOLED display.
However, we are not sure if any of the Redmi Note 10 smartphones will receive high refresh rate panels. But some of the previous leaks claims that the top-end model of the Redmi Note 10 series will house a 102Hz refresh rate panel. This also means that the upcoming Redmi Note 10 Pro Max will enjoy being one of the most sought after smartphones throughout this year. Although there’s a possibility that it might clash with its sibling i.e the Mi 10i smartphone.
Talking about the leaks that have been circulating over the last few weeks. Firstly, the first two Redmi Note 10 smartphones i.e the Redmi Note 10 and the Redmi Note 10 Pro will be supporting 4G connectivity, where the top-end Redmi Note 10 Pro Max will be supporting 5G connectivity. All of them will come with MIUI 12 out of the box with Android 11.
Some leaks suggest the Redmi Note 10 Pro will come with an LCD that supports a 120Hz refresh rate, however, today’s tweet contradicts that leak whatsoever. It might be powered by the Snapdragon 732G or the Snapdragon 730G. It is also said to come with a 64MP quad-camera setup and support MEMC. Apart from that, we should expect at least a 5000mAh battery, given that its predecessors came with the same.
Coming to the Redmi Note 10, the device is expected to feature a 6.4″ FHD+ AMOLED display with a 6000mAh battery. It will be powered by the Snapdragon 678 SoC with up to 6GB RAM and up to 64GB storage. The device will include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner like most of the mid-range Redmi Smartphones available on market. Additionally, it will house a triple camera setup backed by a 48MP primary sensor at the rear. Whereas at the front, it is expected to house the front camera inside the punch hole.
