Xiaomi always keeps dropping new smartphones throughout the globe to engage new customers and facilitate its fans with new options. The company’s subbrands Redmi and Poco are also excelling throughout the globe due to value-for-money smartphones. Most of the Xiaomi smartphones including its subbrands use Samsung based AMOLED display. However, the remaining where better gaming performance and high refresh rates are required, the company uses LCD display mostly from BOE, which is China’s domestic display manufacturer.

In comparison, the Xiaomi Product Manager, Wang Teng Thomas posted photos comparison of the Honor 10X’s Samsung OLED and BOE LCD display on Weibo. He found that the OLED panel brings more vividness and offers better saturation along with similar visibility from different angles. While talking about the Redmi 10X, he depicted via an image that it will bring a better quality picture with deep black color.
On the other hand, he complained about the LCD’s inability to produce proper black colors and also showed black and unclear photos from different angles. The images show LCD producing yellow and blue colors instead of proper black.
Xiaomi Product manager posted comparison photos revealing the Samsung Oled’s prowess over the BOE LCD display. However, forget to mention about AMOLED’s slow refresh rates.
Samsung’s global display share for OLED panel is 81.2%, and 80% of this year’s iPhone 12 will use it.
However, it is quite surprising to see a Chinese company showing the flaws of a product developed by another Chinese company which is even backed by the Chinese government
