Surge S2 SoC- The Mi5C was the last device launched by Xiaomi. It was a budget phone which includes SoC processor. It was supported by the Surge S1 SoC. Mi5C was the first SoC device of the Chinese company, Xiaomi.

Now, Xiaomi is all set to release its high-end processor “Surge S2”. It is expected to be the best smartphone produced by Xiaomi. According to rumors, Surge S2 might have some unexpected features.

The success of Xiaomi SoC processor was the greatest achievement of the company. The company decided to launch all its future devices with this processor. The performance of Mi5C was the best claimed by the reporters. It seems that the including of Xiaomi processor in its device was the right step for the company. Huawei has also decided to include this feature in its smartphones.

Xiaomi announced its first smartphone of Pinecone Surge this year which was known as S1. It was the second device to features the Xiaomi processor after Mi5C model. S1 gained average popularity in the smartphone market, but the confidence of Xiaomi is not gone. The company is deciding to launch the next smartphone of Pinecone Surge series, Surge S2.

The features of Surge S2 is not yet clearly revealed, but the rumor claim some of the features. It is expected to be launched in the last quarter of 2017, but the production will begin from the third quarter of 2017. The manufacturing method of Surge S2 is 16nm. It might feature eight ARM Cortex A53 cores processor.

The four cores will be clocked at 2.2GHz and other four at 1.4GHz. It will come with octa-core technology. As stated above, these reports are not yet declared by the company.

It will not continue the 10nm tradition of the processor. The 10nm feature is employed for building high-end processors like Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 and Exynos 8895. They are changing the technology because of the advancement of the performance. After Huawei’s Kirin, Xiaomi has begun making its own processor. Let’s look, who will be the next. If this rumor became true, then the upcoming Xiaomi’s smartphone will be a hit.
