So we’ve just learned that the Vivo Y50 is in the works and could be launched anytime soon. This model will be one in a series of new products Vivo has lined-up for launch this year. Vivo Y50 was first seen in the Google Play Console listing which provided key information such as device specification.
Soon after the GPC listing, a leaked promotional poster provided additional details on the design and storage of the device and now we’ve been alerted of even more promotional posters at the Company’s Cambodian official page. Vivo Y50 specifications
So from the Vivo Cambodia promotional poster above we can tell a lot about the Vivo Y50 specifications, now we know that the phone will launch in two colors, black and sky blue, it’s going to have a single cut-out for the selfie cam located at the top left corner of the main display screen. The Vivo Y50 will likely be the first Vivo Y series smartphone to have a punch-hole selfie camera. Additionally, we see that the phone has a 6.53 inch full HD ultra O screen.
Vivo Y50 will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 chipset featuring an octa-core processor paired with 128GB storage, 6GB RAM expandable to 8GB. A 5000mAh strong battery though it’s not clear whether this model particular will support fast-charging. It will run Android 10 running FunTouch on top as expected. The camera module is a quadruple set-up that includes 8MP wide-angle camera, 2MP macro camera, and another 2MP portrait camera.
Beneath the camera system is an LED flash. We don’t know about the screen resolution yet but being familiar with Vivo smartphones, we expect it to be in the 18MP range and last but not least, Vivo Y50 will have a rear-mounted fingerprint reader and will cost $249 or approximately Rs 19,030 in India.
